Engagement

How can I become an intern at the UN? What are job opportunities at the UN? How can I, as a citizen of Estonia, contribute to the goals of the UN? How can I make my voice be heard at the UN?

Strengthening the engagement of Estonian citizens, Estonian civil society, as well as Estonia with the UN is one of the key priorities for UNA Estonia. Stronger engagement with the UN means increased visibility, more voice, and broadened representation. Through our activities in this area, we support the representation of Estonia and Estonian civil society at the UN, UN sub-organizations, and other international organizations.

As part of our mission, we promote engagement with the UN at different levels. With our activities, we support individuals in getting first-hand experience at the UN, for example by completing an internship at the UN or related organizations, or in pursuing a professional career at the UN framework/network. For civil society organizations, engagement with the UN means to have their voice heard.

Our activities in this area support students and young professionals in finding internship placements at the UN, UN-suborganizations, and other relevant organizations. We raise awareness and provide information about internship and job opportunities available at the UN. To strengthen civil society engagement with the UN, we provide information about opportunities for Estonian civil society organizations to participate in the UN, UN activities, and related networks.
